Former Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne headlined the University of Toronto Portuguese Association’s 41st Anniversary Gala on May 3, celebrating education, community, and cultural pride.
Wynne highlighted the role of education in building a better future, praising UTPA’s four-decade legacy of supporting Portuguese-Canadian students through scholarships.
The event also featured remarks from Consul-General Ana Riquito and Councillor Laurentino Esteves, along with traditional Portuguese music, dinner, and dancing. Proceeds will support UTPA’s scholarship and cultural programs.
