Toronto has unveiled the Azores Parkette at Dundas and Beaconsfield — the city’s first public space dedicated to the Azorean-Canadian community.
Located in Little Portugal, it features hydrangeas, memorial benches, and artwork by Azorean artist Andreia Sousa, reflecting the migrant journey from the Azores to Canada.
With 55,000 Azoreans in Toronto, the parkette stands as a tribute to their cultural legacy and contributions.
