Toronto’s Tax and Utility Relief Program

The City of Toronto offers a range of support programs, including cultural and housing initiatives. One example is the Tax and Utility Relief Program, which helps eligible residents reduce their property tax and utility costs.

According to Nádia Araújo, spokesperson for the City of Toronto, the program has existed since 2015 and has already provided over $44 million in assistance. Last year alone, more than 10,000 households applied. More in the interview.
