OMNI Italian Year in Review: NBA legend Kobe Bryant dies in tragic helicopter crash

The world was rocked by the sudden death of NBA legend Kobe Bryant, who was involved in a fatal helicopter crash with eight other people, including his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, in January. OMNI spoke to Toronto Raptors assistant coach Sergio Scariolo to learn more about Bryant’s influence on the industry and his lasting impact moving forward. His home team – the LA Lakers – did a tribute to the Black Mamba when they won the 17th NBA Championship in October.
