OMNI Arabic Year in Review: U.S. election

X

The COVID-19 pandemic undoubtedly had a large effect on this year’s U.S. presidential election, with a historical amount of Americans opting for early voting and mail-in ballots and many having their choice influenced by how candidates promised to handle the virus.

It took four days after the election to announce an official winner, as swing states struggled to count the large amount of mail-in ballots. OMNI Television continues to follow the action now, including President Donald Trump contesting the election results in a half dozen states, the historic nomination of Kamala Harris as vice-president and president-elect Joe Biden’s campaign promise to curb the spread of COVID-19.
