Based in Québec, Les Petites Mains is a group that works to support women struggling as single parents or new immigrant women looking for work, giving them a safe space to learn useful trade skills and integrate into the labour market.
OMNI visited Les Petites Mains headquarters to speak with participants, who shared how the program has given them a newfound sense of community and provided the tools necessary to turn their lives around for the better.
Established back in 1995, the organization evolved from a small food bank with a handful of volunteers into a comprehensive socio-professional training facility offering women ostracized by their own communities a safe space to learn and grow.
