To welcome the most important and celebrated season on the Chinese calendar, OMNI Television is delighted to bring audiences its annual special, the first back to studio live production since the pandemic. Let’s hop into the Year of the Rabbit together with positive energy and hope for a bright year ahead!

The premiere of the Year of Rabbit Chinese Lunar Year Specials airs Sunday, January 22, 2023 on OMNI 2.

Cantonese edition at 5:30 p.m. | Mandarin edition at 7:30 p.m.

In Chinese culture, the rabbit is a symbol of longevity, luck, rebirth, peace, and prosperity. This year’s special is packed with traditional Lion dances, Cantonese opera, and a Mandarin comedy skit. The audience will also learn about pet rabbit farms from Ontario and British Columbia, and explore the history behind the Year of the Rabbit stamps from Canada, China, and Taiwan.
