Calling all journalism students: Now accepting applications for 2022 OMNI Scholarships
About the Scholarship:
The OMNI Scholarship Program invests in third-language journalism talent and supports post-secondary students majoring in journalism who wish to pursue a career in ethnic and third-language journalism.
Number, Value and Duration of Scholarship:
Up to ten (10) scholarships will be available at the bachelor or diploma level. These scholarships are valued at $2,000 CAD, valid for one year.
An eligible applicant must:
- Have Canadian citizenship or permanent residency status in Canada as of the application deadline date.
- Be planning to enter the first year or already be enrolled in full-time studies for a first bachelor degree or a first diploma program.
- Have a minimum cumulative average of 75% (or equivalent) over the last one to two years of available marks.
- Restricted to students enrolled in journalism programs who are interested in pursuing a career in ethnic and third-language journalism.
Deadline to submit: 1:00 p.m. EST, Wednesday, June 1, 2022
