May this Lunar New Year bring you good fortune, prosperity, and best of all, a wealth of music! This programme showcases East Asia’s leading contemporary composers and musicians, innovative orchestral arrangements of traditional Chinese folk songs, and features the Butterfly Lovers’ Violin Concerto and Academy Award-winning Tan Dun’s thrilling YouTube-commissioned Internet Symphony.
The performance is co-hosted with the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Calgary and features the traditional Lion Dance during intermission.
