Paramjit is a double Master’s degree holder in Journalism and Mass Communication and Religious Studies; he is also a gold medalist from Punjabi University, Patiala.

Paramjit brings with him 11 years of experience in journalism. After working with well-known media organizations in Punjab, he worked as a reporter for a National leading news channel in India for seven years. His articles on effective and important issues have often been published in various Punjabi newspapers. He has also worked in radio for a long time. Paramjit enjoy staying active on political and social matters and has a deep understanding of religious issues as well.

Rashmeen Rupal is a multilingual journalist with a background in marketing and public relations, whose passion for storytelling brought her to Canada to pursue a career in journalism. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and is committed to telling stories that bridge cultural understanding and elevates community voices. She has covered a broad spectrum of stories—from policy and politics to culture, health, and human rights. Her feature portfolio talks about champions and changemakers. She uses her passion for journalism as a tool for empowerment, accountability, and inclusion.

Outside of work, Rashmeen enjoys painting canvases, reading books, keeping fit and spending time with her cat named Bubbaz.

With a Master of Arts in Mass Communication and Journalism, Sonia Kalra brings over 14 years of experience in newsroom leadership and election management. She began her journalism career in print before establishing a strong presence in broadcast, working as an anchor, producer, and content creator in regional and national news in India. Over the years, she has gained extensive expertise in news production, hosting live panel discussions, and programming. 

Sonia also worked as the Creative Director at Digital Arena, an election management agency, where she collaborated with national and state political parties.  

As a new immigrant to Canada, Sonia brings fresh perspectives along with a strong editorial vision to OMNI. 

Beyond the newsroom, Sonia enjoys reading, creative ideation, and exploring heritage and historical tourism. In her leisure time, she loves listening to and singing Hindustani classical music, which continues to fuel her creative spirit.
