Mixed Bean Balti
- 13 oz (375 g) -- Selection of canned beans (chickpeas, kidney, etc)
(Or 8 oz (200 g) selection of dried beans)
- 2 tbsp (25 mL) -- Vegetable oil
- 1 -- Onion, diced
- 2 tsp (10 mL) -- Tomato puree
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) -- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- 8 oz (255 mL) -- Patak's Balti Cooking Sauce
If using dried beans, soak overnight, then drain. Heat oil in pan and fry the onion about two minutes. Stir in beans, tomato puree, coriander and Patak's Balti Cooking Sauce. Cover and simmer for 20 - 25 minutes, until the sauce thickens and the beans are tender. Serve hit with naan bread.
