CC and Maple Marinated Pork Kebabs

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup CC
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 3 star anise
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon sri ratcha, Vietnamese hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh garlic
  • 1 kilo pork roast

Method:

Whisk all ingredients but the pork together, and set aside. Slice the pork into bite size pieces and add to the marinade. Cover, and refrigerate overnight. Once marinaded, thread the pork pieces onto skewars. If you are using wooden skewars, soak in water for at least a couple of hours to prevent burning. Pork skewars can be pan fried, grilled, or roasted in a pre-heated oven at 350 for about 10 – 15 minutes. Check for doneness by pulling one apart. It should be delicately pink and not dried out.
