OMNI PEAS SOUP

  • 1 cup of peas
  • 2 potatoes
  • 2 carrots
  • ½ celery root
  • ½ onion
  • 4 slices of peameal bacon
  • ½ tsp butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Herbs

Fill ¾ of a large pot with water and heat it up. Once the water starts boiling, add the peas and 2 slices of peameal bacon. Let it cook for a few minutes. In the mean time, cut the carrots, potatoes and celery root in small square pieces and add to the soup. Chop the remaining peameal bacon and slice the onion. In a large sauce pan melt the butter and fry the bacon and onion for a few minutes. Once the onion is translucent pour the bacon and the onion into the soup. Add salt, pepper and herbs to taste and let it simmer until the peas are perfectly cooked. Serve and enjoy. Smacznego!
