OMNI HUNGARIAN PANCAKES

  • ¾ kg pork
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cups of paprika sauce
  • 1 can of corn
  • 1 package of Knorr potato flour
  • ½ cup shredded cheese
  • Vegetable oil
  • Sauerkraut

To prepare the pancakes:

Prepare the potato flour with water and egg according to the instructions in the package. Add the shredded cheese and mix well until you obtain firm dough. Pour enough vegetable oil on a large pan and heat it up. Drop 4 or 5 spoonfuls of the dough forming a pancake and fry on both sides over medium heat, until they become golden brown. Set aside over a paper towel to absorb any extra oil.

To prepare the meat:

In a deep pot melt the butter and add the onion. Fry for a few minutes until the onion softens, then add the meat and cook it stirring constantly. Once the meat is cooked, pour 2 cups of paprika sauce, cover and simmer for about 10 minutes. If the sauce is not thick enough, add a teaspoon of corn starch and simmer for a couple of minutes more.

Serve the pancakes on a large plate and cover each one with meat. Serve with corn and sauerkraut and enjoy.
