SOUSE AL'A ST. LUCIA
- 2-4 bananas
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- ½ a bar of butter
- 1 cup of orange juice
- 2 tbsp of cinnamon
- Yogurt Ice cream
To prepare:
Melt the butter in a deep pot over medium heat. Add the brown sugar and mix well with the melted butter. Add the orange juice and the cinnamon. Mix well. Cut the bananas in half and then cut in half again, but lengthwise. Place the bananas inside the pot making sure they are covered with juice. Cook them over low heat for about 10 minutes or until the juice obtains a caramel consistency. Serve a scoop of yogurt ice cream and serve the bananas around the ice cream.
