COOKIES
- 250grams butter
- 250grams cream cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp Vanilla oil
- 1 tbsp almond oil
- 3½ cup flour
- 1 tbsp baking soda
- 1 cup of chocolate chips
- 4 tbsp butter
To prepare the cookies:
Using a hand mixer, combine in a large bowl the 250 grams of butter, the cream cheese and the sugar. Mix well until it is creamy in texture. Add the egg, the vanilla and almond oils and mix thoroughly. Sift the flour and the baking soda in a separate bowl, and then add to the creamed mixture. Blend well all the ingredients. Once the dough is firm, place it over a clean surface and with a rolling pin extend it to about ½ an inch thick. Use different cookies cutters to cut the dough and place them on a tray with parchment paper. Make sure the cookies are not too close to each other. Place the tray in a pre-heated oven at 375 Celsius and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
To decorate:
In a small pot over medium to low heat, melt the chocolate chips with 4 tbsp of butter. Stir constantly until everything is combined. Dip the cookies half way in the chocolate and place in a separate tray covered with clean parchment paper. Cover the cookies with candy sprinkles before the chocolate cools down.
